Darjeeling tea is world famous. On our trip to India, visiting this region was of course a must. We flew to Bhadrapur in Nepal and drove on to Darjeeling with land rovers. In Darjeeling we also used the train to get to the interesting places of this enchanting country.
In the tea plantation that we visited, we learned a lot from the employees about the cultivation, harvest and processing of these well-known types of tea. Here, in the pre-Himalayas, the tea is grown at altitudes over 2,000 meters. As a result, the plant grows slowly and develops a finer aroma.
