The world's strongest tidal current is near the Norwegian city of Bodø. It impresses with its large whirlpools, which produce water masses reaching speeds of almost 40 km/h.
The Red Torii of Itsukushima Shrine in front of Miyajima Island in Hiroshima Prefecture is world famous. You can walk out to it at low tide, and ships pass through the torii at high tide to reach the Shinto monastery of Itsukushima Shrine.
During one of the 200 shots, a part of the trees was dodged with a bright flashlight in order to be able to recognize them later in the finished picture.
