Around 2,000 sacred buildings have been preserved on around 36 square kilometers in the Pagan steppe at the east bank of the Irrawaddy river in Myanmar.
Guilin is located in southeast China on the banks of the Li River (Li Jiang). The name Guilin can be translated as "city of the smelled flower forest".
